The SL chicken and mutton curry was good. Though we ordered medium spicy the curries still were pretty hot. The service is rated poor as they served the hoppers over twenty minutes after the the curries. The Aliya cocktail was complemented the spicy curry. Wood apple juice was also nice.

TPH Lakwil is my go-to spot when I’m craving authentic Sri Lankan food or just need to relax and unwind. One of the main reasons I come here is to enjoy the live music by Nuwan Bulathsinhala, a top 5 finalist of Sirasa Superstar, a major singing competition in Sri Lanka. His voice is incredible—he’s a legend who can sing almost any Sri Lankan song effortlessly. The food is great, especially the Pol (coconut) Pittu—a must-try! It goes perfectly with katta sambol (a spicy Sri Lankan chili paste) and fresh coconut milk. They also host weekly buffets featuring a variety of authentic Sri Lankan dishes, covering everything from southern to northern regional styles. The location is perfect, right alongside the Dubai Marina Walk (also known as Marina Promenade), opposite the Dhow Cruise. The outdoor seating is breezy with fresh air—just adds to the whole experience. I consider this one of the most authentic and hygienic Sri Lankan restaurants in Dubai. They truly know what they’re doing—the flavors and recipes are just as you'd find back home in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended!

Exceptional staff, fantastic location, and a wonderfully calming atmosphere. I celebrated both of my kids' birthdays on the same day, and Rinoshan and his team handled everything seamlessly—from decorations and music to entertainment. The food was incredibly tasty, with each dish bursting with flavor. Rinoshan and his team went above and beyond to ensure the event's success. Every guest had an unforgettable time. Thank you, Rinoshan, for your thoughtful suggestions and for making this a truly special experience for my kids and all our guests.

Stopped by TPH Lakwil at Marina Promenade, Dubai Marina, and the views of JBR were absolutely stunning — the perfect setting to relax. I only had a coconut and coffee this time, but both were refreshing and enjoyable. The servers were lovely and really made the experience even better. Next time, I’ll definitely be back to try the food and do a more detailed review. Overall, a great spot and highly recommended!

I came as a big group to this restaurant because we decided that it was time for a Sri Lankan night and this place got the best recommendations for the quality of its food. I have to say the food was excellent and we had string hoppers, hoppers and Kothu Roti which are all traditional Sri Lankan dishes and they were very good here. We were a group of 20 people and the service was decent. I ate a lot of food and the cost came to 65 dirhams plus I had two beers which made it around 140 dirhams total. The venue isn’t anything special, but it does have an outside where you can smoke Shisha and a view of the marina. They did have some live music, but I wasn’t a fan. All in all, I think it’s a great place to go if you’re craving some good quality traditional Sri Lankan food.

Sri lankan restaurant Wonderful service and atmosphere. Such friendly and helpful people. Great spot on marina with indoor and outdoor seating. You can watch the boat and people pass or just the moon cross the sky in the evening. Furniture is clean, well taken care of, and comfortable. The whole place is clean and well looked after. They have live music inside and the gentleman that sings on Mondays should have a record, he is that good of a voice. Again staff is awesome. They have 3 menus, Sri Lanken, chinese and i think indian. We only tried the Sri Lankan and highly completely recommend it. So many must try dishes you will need to come back several times. We recently dined at Lakwil Restaurant and had a fantastic experience! Our waiter, Kushan, provided exceptional service throughout our meal. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with our orders. The food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant made for a wonderful dining experience. We highly recommend Lakwil Restaurant, not just for the tasty meals but also for the excellent service from attentive staff like Kushan. We look forward to returning soon!
